Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to cease military operations in Ukraine if certain conditions are met.
Modern.az reports that Germany's “Welt am Sonntag” newspaper published information about this.
According to the information, the agreement currently being discussed regarding the resolution of the Russia-Ukraine conflict is important not only for ending the war but also for ensuring long-term peace and stability in Europe.
"I see that the desire to sign a peace agreement by Russia and Ukraine is increasing. This war is causing economic and social damage to Russia. If a peace agreement is reached, peace could be established in the region for 70 years or longer," said the Turkish foreign policy official.
Hakan Fidan recalled that Ankara has also clashed with Moscow in Syria and Libya, but unlike the Europeans, it has never ceased dialogue.
