US military personnel conducted a joint operation with the Syrian army.
Modern.az reports that the US Central Command (CENTCOM) issued a statement regarding this.
During the operation, forces identified and destroyed ISIS's weapons depots in Rif Dimashq province through numerous airstrikes and ground bombardments.
More than 130 mortars and rockets, several automatic rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines, and materials for manufacturing improvised explosive devices were destroyed.
"This successful operation ensures the long-term nature of achievements in the fight against ISIS and that the group will not be able to resume or export terror attacks against the US and the entire world. We will remain vigilant and continue to aggressively pursue ISIS remnants in Syria", - said US Central Command Commander Brad Cooper.
