Since the beginning of this year, the wealth of Russia's richest businessmen has increased by $18.1 billion.
Modern.az reports that this was stated in a Bloomberg report.
The agency bases its assessment on its Bloomberg Billionaires Index (BBI), which, among other factors, relies on the value of company shares.
In particular, the wealth of Alisher Usmanov, founder of USM Holding, increased by $5.32 billion, reaching $18.5 billion.
Iskander Makhmudov, founder of the Ural Mining and Metallurgical Company (UMMC), increased his wealth by $4.43 billion, reaching $7.56 billion.
Additionally, Pavel Durov, founder of Telegram, gained $2.44 billion since the beginning of the year, while Tatyana Kim, owner of Wildberries, gained $654 million.
However, the wealth of Vahid Alakbarov, a shareholder of Lukoil, decreased by $2.58 billion. As a result, his wealth fell to $22.7 billion.
Several other Russian billionaires have suffered significant financial losses. Vladimir Lisin, Chairman of the NLMK Board of Directors, lost $3.07 billion, and his wealth is now estimated at $22.8 billion.
