As two major regional powers, Tehran and Ankara are committed to close cooperation to promote lasting peace, stability, and development in the region.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.
Araqchi stated that he received Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and his accompanying delegation in Tehran yesterday.
He noted that, "in a completely warm and constructive atmosphere, the two sides reviewed the increasing trajectory of bilateral relations and reaffirmed the determination of the leaders of both countries to deepen cooperation in the economic, trade, energy, technology, security, and cultural fields".
Araqchi added that both sides "expressed their deep concern regarding the catastrophic situation in Gaza and the West Bank, strongly condemned the genocide perpetrated by the Israeli regime, and agreed on the urgent necessity to end these crimes and hold the regime accountable in international forums".
Speaking about the developments in Syria and Lebanon, Abbas Araqchi emphasized that both countries "stress full respect for the national sovereignty, territorial integrity, and unity of these states and strongly condemn the ongoing Israeli aggression".
