An assassination attempt has occurred against presidential candidate Rafael Belaunde in Peru.

 

According to information provided by Modern.az, citing local media, his car was shot at several times. As a result of the incident, the candidate was not injured.

 

Rafael Belaunde is the grandson of Peru's former president, Fernando Belaunde. General elections in Peru will be held on April 12 next year.
