On the morning of December 6, a serious road accident occurred in Osmaniye province in southern Turkey. A passenger bus traveling from Şanlıurfa to Adana collided with a truck.
Modern.az reports that, according to preliminary information, 6 people died and 11 people were injured in the incident that occurred at approximately 5:00 AM local time.
According to media reports, the impact was so severe that some passengers were trapped between their seats and could only be rescued after rescuers arrived at the scene. The injured were transported to various hospitals in Osmaniye province.
A section of the highway leading towards Gaziantep city was temporarily closed to traffic.
An investigation into the causes of the accident has been launched.
