Modern.az reports that this was stated by Hamas leader Khalil al-Hayya in Gaza.
It was noted that by “state,” the Hamas leader referred to a “future sovereign Palestine.”
Khalil al-Hayya added that the issue of surrendering weapons is a subject of discussion among Palestinian groups and mediators. Reaching an agreement is still in its initial stages. “We accept UN forces as forces that will control the borders and the ceasefire in Gaza,” the Hamas leader stated.
