The “Europoll” company conducted a survey among the population regarding Turkey's international allies on 1–5 November 2025.
The names of 20 countries were read out one by one to the respondents, and the question “Do you consider this country a friend of Turkey?” was posed.
Modern.az reports that the survey results once again confirmed that Azerbaijan is indeed the country most trusted by Turkish society.
94,2% of the survey participants rated Azerbaijan as Turkey's closest friend.
In the survey conducted among 3160 respondents, Azerbaijan is followed by three countries:
South Korea – 90,0%
Japan – 89,4%
Italy – 70,7%
These countries have for many years been known as states that have gained a positive image in Turkish society.

China – 57,4%
Ukraine – 55,2%
Germany – 51,9%
Iran – 47,3%
Netherlands – 35,8%
India – 35,5%
Egypt – 23,1%
Syria – 21,6%
Greece – 19,8%
Saudi Arabia – 19,6%
USA – 17,2%
United Kingdom – 11,4%
France – 9,6%
Israel – 8,2%
Armenia – 3,3%
The research was conducted in 26 regions, with a total of 3160 people, using the Computer-Assisted Telephone Interviewing (CATI) method.
