Tuition fees for those admitted to Georgian state universities will also be free at the master's level.
Modern.az reports that the relevant changes are included in the package of amendments to the “Law on Higher Education” submitted by Zviad Gabisonia, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, and Youth Affairs, to Georgian legislators.
"We are making higher education completely free. This means a fully funded model in state universities. The current grant model will be replaced by a transition to full state funding. This means that students admitted to state higher education institutions under the existing quota system will be able to receive completely free education at both bachelor's and master's levels," Gabisonia stated.
