German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer held a telephone conversation with US President Donald Trump. During the talks, Washington's proposed plan for resolving the conflict in Ukraine was discussed.
Modern.az reports that the British Prime Minister's office issued a statement on the matter.
"The leaders discussed the situation surrounding the ongoing peace talks under US leadership and welcomed Washington's efforts towards achieving a just and lasting peace in Ukraine and ending the bloodshed," the statement noted.
It was stated that all participants in the conversation assessed the talks surrounding the US peace plan as a "decisive moment" for both Ukraine and its people, as well as for the security of the Euro-Atlantic region as a whole. The parties also confirmed their intention to continue intensive work on the peace plan in the coming days.
