Currently, the US believes that a complete ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia is only possible after the signing of a framework agreement. However, Washington does not consider an energy ceasefire separately.
Modern.az reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during his meeting with journalists.
"After numerous negotiations with the Russian side, the United States believes that a complete ceasefire can only occur with the signing of a framework agreement. In my opinion, it is no secret that if there is no agreement, the Russians will not agree to an energy ceasefire alone", Zelenskyy stated.
Zelenskyy also noted that Ukraine's position has not changed, and a complete ceasefire is essential.
Commenting on the possibility of an energy and maritime ceasefire, Zelenskyy stated that Turkey is working on such a plan.
