The leaders of Russia and Iran met in Ashgabat, the capital of Turkmenistan.
Modern.az reports that during the meeting, Vladimir Putin and Masoud Pezeshkian discussed the construction of the Rasht-Astara railway and the allocation of land for it within the framework of the international "North-South" transport corridor.
It should be noted that the "North-South" corridor will connect Russia with Iran, the Persian Gulf countries, South Asia and Africa via the territory of Azerbaijan.
