The Federal Security Service (FSB), in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs and “Rosgvardiya”, prevented the activities of 169 clandestine armed individuals in 53 regions of Russia.
Modern.az reports that the information was disseminated by the FSB.
Operational-investigative and investigative measures were carried out in October-November 2025 at the addresses where illegal armed individuals resided, including Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Sevastopol, Donetsk, and Luhansk.
“378 units of locally and foreign-produced firearms were seized from illegal circulation: 9 machine guns, 81 assault rifles, 27 submachine guns, 88 pistols, 173 rifles, carbines, and hunting rifles, as well as 32 grenade launchers, 94 anti-tank, anti-personnel, and mortar mines, 7 artillery shells, 11 electric detonators, 703 grenades, over 52 kg of explosives (TNT and gunpowder), and over 223 thousand cartridges of various calibers. The activities of 44 underground workshops for the modernization of weapons and production of ammunition have been stopped,” the statement said.
It is noted that work continues on identifying and preventing activities related to the preparation and modification of weapons, as well as their illegal circulation.
