In 2025, Armenia purchased grain not only from Russia but also from other countries of the former post-Soviet space.
Modern.az reports that this was stated in the information from the Ministry of Economy of Armenia.
Russia leads in grain imports to Armenia: in January-November 2025, its share constituted 99.8% (366.4 thousand tons) of the total volume of supplies to the Armenian market. The remaining 0.2% of grain (1731.23 tons) came from other countries.
Wheat (1195.6 tons) was purchased from Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Austria; Barley (1.93 tons) – from Austria, Germany, and Italy; Corn (533.7 tons) - from Georgia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, France, and Austria.
Armenia's average annual demand for grain is approximately 660 thousand tons: of this, 460 thousand tons are wheat, 106 thousand tons are barley, and 93 thousand tons are corn.
