US President Donald Trump announced on Sunday that the opposing side would suffer very serious damage in response to the killing of two US soldiers and a translator in Syria.
Modern.az reports that he said this during his speech at the Christmas reception held at the White House.
“Three great patriots were killed by bad people. This was not the Syrian government, but ISIS. I can tell you that the people who did this in Syria will suffer a lot of damage,” Trump stated.
He added that Syria's new president fought on the US side. Trump stated that two of the three wounded Americans had been discharged from the hospital.
