Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan continues his “war” with Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.
According to Modern.az, Nikol Pashinyan stated in a video shared on Facebook that sermons on spiritual topics have long been absent in ordinary churches in Armenia.
He accused the priests of becoming politicized.
"They write political texts. The church has turned into a political party, which is unacceptable. I was unaware of this incident; they showed me that the current church leader (Karekin II - ed.) asked at the airport, "Where are the people?" But there is no one there. There are no people because he is not with the people, because he has alienated them from the church," Pashinyan noted.
