Turkey's Ministry of National Defense (MSB) announced that an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), determined to have lost control over the Black Sea, was shot down and destroyed.
According to information from Modern.az, it was stated in the Ministry's announcement that an aerial vehicle approaching Turkish airspace from the direction of the Black Sea was detected and brought under control within the framework of existing procedures.
To ensure the security of the airspace, F-16 fighter jets under NATO and national control were given a “warning response” mission.
The statement noted that during the inspections, it was determined that the aforementioned aerial vehicle belonged to an unmanned aerial vehicle that had lost control. To prevent any dangerous situation from arising, the UAV was shot down and brought to the ground in a safe area, away from residential areas.
