At least nine people have died as a result of an explosion caused by a gas leak at a factory located in Iran's Isfahan province.

Mansour Sishefurosh, the Director General of Crisis Management in Isfahan, stated that nine factory workers died from poisoning as a result of the incident. Attempts to rescue the workers were unsuccessful.
According to him, the fire occurred at an electronics manufacturing plant located in the Dolatabad Industrial Park in Barkhur city. Firefighters and rescue teams quickly arrived at the scene.
The 1700-hectare Dolatabad Industrial Park, located north of Isfahan, is one of the country's largest industrial zones.
