Azerbaijan is among the countries that have agreed to participate in the international stabilization forces planned for creation in the Gaza Strip.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Mike Waltz, the US Permanent Representative to the UN.
He spoke about this in an interview with the famous "The Hugh Hewitt Show" radio.
According to Waltz, the formation of “International Stabilization Forces” in Gaza is envisioned within the framework of the peace plan put forward by US President Donald Trump. The US official emphasized that Washington does not want American military personnel to be part of this contingent.
In his opinion, the return of the Israeli army to Gaza would mean a large-scale war and the complete failure of the normalization process. For this reason, the creation of forces in an international format is planned, and according to Waltz's claim, Indonesia, Azerbaijan, and several other countries have already agreed to participate.
Azerbaijan has not yet issued an official statement.
