Israel killed a prominent SEPAH figure

The Israeli army announced that a high-ranking commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) had been neutralized in Lebanon.

Modern.az reports that the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) released information regarding this. 

According to the information, the operation was carried out in the Nabatieh region of Lebanon. It is reported that the operation was jointly executed by the Israeli army and Shin Bet (Israel's internal security service).

The official statement notes that the neutralized individual is Hussein Mahmoud Marshad al-Johari. He was one of the main fighters of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and in recent years actively participated in the preparation and advancement of plans against Israel in the Syria–Lebanon direction.

According to information from the Israeli army, al-Johari operated within the 'Unit 840' of the Quds Force, which is responsible for IRGC's foreign operations. This unit is involved in the planning and coordination of Iran's sabotage and attack plans abroad.

Regarding the incident, no official statement has been made yet from the Lebanese and Iranian sides.
