A high-level meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US leader Donald Trump is expected in the near future. An agreement has been reached for this.
Modern.az reports that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote about this on Telegram.
He noted that Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council and head of the Ukrainian delegation in negotiations with the US, has contacts with the American side and that an agreement has been reached for a meeting with Trump.
"Rustem Umerov informed about contacts with the American side. We are not wasting a single day. We have agreed on a meeting at the highest level - with Trump - in the near future. Many things can be decided before the New Year," Zelenskyy stated.
According to a diplomatic source in the "Kyiv Post" newspaper, Zelenskyy's visit to the US could take place on December 28.
