The rising tension between the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Saudi Arabia regarding the situation in Yemen creates a new problem for US diplomacy.
Modern.az reports that this was stated in an article published in “The Wall Street Journal” (WSJ) newspaper.
It was noted that the rift that has emerged in relations between the two Middle Eastern states is considered a diplomatic challenge and an undesirable complication for the US. Meanwhile, Washington is currently trying to curb Iran and persuade Tehran to abandon its nuclear program.
According to the publication, the confrontation between the two Persian Gulf countries could lead to a further escalation of military operations in a region already engulfed in conflicts.
