Israel supports the US military operation in Venezuela.
Modern.az reports that this was stated by Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar.
"Israel commends the US operation led by President (Donald) Trump, who acts as a leader of the free world. At this historic moment, Israel stands with the freedom-loving people of Venezuela who suffer from Maduro's illegal oppression," he noted.
The minister stated that Israel welcomes the removal of Nicolas Maduro from power and hopes for the "return of democracy" in Venezuela and the establishment of friendly relations between the two countries.
It should be recalled that today the US carried out massive air strikes on Caracas, the capital of Venezuela. US President Donald Trump announced that Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia Flores had been arrested and removed from the country. The US accuses the Venezuelan president of conspiracy to commit narco-terrorism, cocaine importation, and possession of weapons and explosive devices.
