Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Dan Caine, has revealed new details regarding the military operation carried out in Venezuela.

According to Modern.az, he told journalists at the Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, Florida, that the operation named “Operation Absolute Resolve” was the result of months of planning and exercises.

According to General Caine, the coordination process among US agencies began months ago and was based on decades of experience in integrating air, land, space, and maritime operations. “We watched, we waited, we prepared. We acted patiently and professionally,” he emphasized.

According to the statement, during the operation, over 150 military aircraft across the Western Hemisphere took off simultaneously and in close coordination. The US military contingent included F-22, F-35, F/A-18, EA-18, E-2 type fighter and support aircraft, as well as B-1 bombers and numerous unmanned aerial vehicles.

The General stated that US forces entered the complex where Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro was located at 01:01 Eastern Time and 02:01 Caracas Time. According to him, the group executing the apprehension operation moved into the target area with speed, precision, and strict discipline, completely isolating the area and ensuring the safety of ground forces.

General Caine noted that it is possible for such tasks to arise again in the future. “There is always a possibility that such missions will be assigned to us again,” he stated.
