US President Donald Trump has not ruled out the possibility of a military operation in Colombia.
Modern.az reports that he made this statement to journalists while flying from West Palm Beach to Washington.
Trump, who called Venezuela a “sick neighbor” for the US, used similar expressions regarding Colombia.
According to him, the country is run by a “sick person” who produces cocaine and sells it to the US, and this situation will not last long.
When asked about the possibility of a US military operation in Colombia, Trump replied, “that doesn't sound bad.”
At the same time, Trump claimed that the Cuban government was close to collapse due to the depletion of its financial resources.
He stated that Cuba previously generated income from Venezuelan oil, but this source is currently unavailable, and the country is “literally ready to collapse.”
Responding to a question about the possible use of force by the US against Cuba, Trump added that Washington might not need to take any action, as Cuba could collapse on its own.
