President Donald Trump has announced the names of a group of officials who will oversee the US involvement in Venezuela.
Modern.az reports that he announced this in an interview with NBC News.
According to Trump, the following individuals will participate in the administration of Venezuela:
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth, White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, and US Vice President J.D. Vance.
"This group of people comes from various fields and specializations. They have different experiences," Trump stated.
When asked who would primarily be responsible for the US administration in Venezuela, Trump replied with one word: "Me."
In the same interview, Trump also stated that Venezuelan Vice President Delcy Rodríguez, who assumed the presidential duties after Nicolás Maduro's abduction, cooperated with US officials. However, as the American leader noted, there was no contact with her before the operation.
Furthermore, the US President hinted that the US might initiate a second military intervention if Rodríguez ceases cooperation.
