Venezuela's Bitcoin "shadow reserves" have exceeded 600,000 #BTC
Modern.az reports that US intelligence has obtained information on this matter.
According to calculations, the Venezuelan authorities began accumulating funds in Bitcoin and Tether cryptocurrencies in 2018 and have collected 600,000 cryptocurrency coins with a value of approximately over 60 billion dollars.
Official Caracas is able to evade sanctions thanks to this and regulated oil exports through Bitcoin.
After the fall of the Maduro government, the US may confiscate these assets through inquiry.
