Police in Toronto, Canada, have detained three individuals suspected of armed kidnapping, sexual violence, and other serious crimes.
Modern.az reports that among the detained individuals is 19-year-old Azerbaijani citizen Osman Azizov.
Within the framework of the “Neapolitan” operation, along with Osman Azizov, 19-year-old Farad Sadaat and 26-year-old Valid Khan have also been arrested. A total of 80 charges have been brought against them. Valid Khan is alleged to have connections with the ISIS terrorist organization.
The suspects are accused of committing armed assaults, kidnappings, and sexual violence in Toronto during May-June. During searches, firearms and ammunition were discovered. Additionally, Valid Khan has been charged under the terrorism article.
It should be noted that Osman Azizov is reported to be the son of the chief pguard of Jahangir Hajiyev, who headed the International Bank. Azizov's family immigrated to Canada in 2017.
