Trump demanded that Venezuela sever economic ties with Russia and China.

Modern.az, citing ABC, reports that Venezuela must also agree to cooperate only with the US in oil production and to prioritize the US in the sale of heavy crude oil.

Trump stated that Venezuela's interim government must sell 30-50 million barrels of sanctioned oil, which is under sanctions, under US control.  "This oil will be sold at market price, and I... will control this money to ensure it is used for the benefit of the people of Venezuela and the United States," he said.

On January 6, the "Politico" newspaper reported that the White House demanded that Venezuela's interim president, Desli Rodriguez, fulfill at least three conditions: the cessation of drug trafficking, the expulsion of Iran, Cuba, and other "agents hostile to Washington" from the country, and the cessation of oil sales to US rivals. Furthermore, US officials expect Rodriguez to organize elections in Venezuela and subsequently resign.
