French President Emmanuel Macron plans to speak with Russian leader Vladimir Putin as soon as possible.
Modern.az reports that Macron stated this in an interview with "France 2" television.
"Everything must be organized quickly. Currently, contacts are being restored, and the conversation should take place in the coming weeks," he said.
According to the French president, he is working to ensure the conversation takes place as soon as possible.
Macron also emphasized the importance of continuing to support Ukraine's defense efforts in the short term.
He added that a peace agreement between Moscow and Kyiv does not mean Ukraine's surrender.
