Modern.az reports that Elias Hazreti, head of the Government Information Council, stated this in a statement to journalists after the Cabinet meeting.
"President Pezeshkian will soon address the nation," Elias Hazreti said.
Protests in Iran have been ongoing for 12 days. The situation has further escalated in several cities across the country. It is reported that in the cities of Nishapur, Mashhad, Qazvin, Torbat-e Jam, Kermanshah, and Karaj, protesters forced security forces to retreat from the streets.
In the city of Mashhad, a bus belonging to SEPAH was set on fire by protesters.
Reports have emerged that security forces used firearms and tear gas to disperse protesters in the cities of Karaj and Tonekabon.
