The US Senate has adopted a resolution on war powers.
Modern.az reports that the draft resolution prohibits the President's use of the US Armed Forces for military operations within or against Venezuela without the authorization of Congress.
52 senators voted in favor of the resolution, and 47 against. 5 members of the Republican Party joined their colleagues from the Democratic Party for the passage of the bill.
In the next stage, the resolution will be put to a vote in the House of Representatives for full approval.
