Today, internet service has been suspended by telecommunication operators in Iran.

Some Telegram channels claim that protesters have already seized control in three cities of the country, including Karaj.

According to media reports, protesters are blocking roads, burning police stations, while security forces are firing at them.

The Iranian authorities, in turn, deny the capture of cities.

Protests have already spread to 92 cities in 27 provinces. In recent days, protests have been recorded in 285 locations.

Over 2000 arrests have been recorded nationwide. According to preliminary information, 45 people have died, including four minors and two police officers.

The protests began in late December. They were caused by sharp fluctuations in the national currency, the rial. People protested against the sharp increase in prices. Since the beginning of January, the protests have turned into mass riots and vandalism.
