Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan planned to visit the border military unit in Arazdayan (Yeraskh), located on the border with Azerbaijan's Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, late last year, but ultimately did not do so.
Modern.az "Hraparak" newspaper reports that the reasons for his decision have become known. According to sources, Khachaturyan informed Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan about his intention, but the head of government did not approve the visit.
