According to reports, Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov is seriously ill. He suffers from pancreonecrosis (acute pancreatic necrosis) and kidney problems, rarely appears in public and receives dialysis.
This however, raises questions about a successor and a possible power struggle in the republic where the Kremlin is trying to maintain control.
