In the wake of protests in Iran, dozens of Iranians have begun leaving the country and heading to Turkey.
Modern.az reports that the "Reuters" agency disseminated information about this.
According to the information, Iranian families entered Turkey via the Kapıköy border crossing point in Van province.
Currently, Iranians crossing the Kapıköy border point are hesitant to speak to the media. They state that they fear potential dangers that could arise if they return to Iran. Turkish security officials, however, noted that the situation at the border is not yet extraordinary, but all developments are being closely monitored against any potential mass refugee influx.
It should be recalled that, according to the latest report by human rights groups, the number of fatalities resulting from the unrest that began on December 28 has already reached 2600, while thousands of people have been arrested.
