Armenian Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan spoke about Vagif Khachatryan's health.
Modern.az reports that Armenian media reported this.
The minister told journalists that Khachatryan was immediately placed under medical supervision:
“Vagif Khachatryan is currently undergoing a medical examination, and preparations are being made for him to meet with his relatives. I had a brief conversation with Khachatryan, and he stated that he feels well because he has returned to Armenia. He has a chronic heart condition, so additional tests and examinations will be conducted. A decision regarding the next stage of treatment will be made after the doctors' opinion”.
In response to journalists' questions about whether Khachatryan had undergone any surgical operation, the minister refused to answer, citing medical confidentiality.
It should be recalled that today, guided by the principles of humanism, Azerbaijan handed over Vagif Khachatryan, along with 3 other Armenian prisoners — Gevorg Sujyan, David Davtyan, and Vigen Euljekjian — to Armenia.
