The conclusion of a potential peace agreement is hindered not by Russia, but by Ukraine.
Modern.az reports that US President Donald Trump stated this in an interview he gave to Reuters in the Oval Office.
He noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to end the war in Ukraine, which he himself started and which has been ongoing for approximately four years.
“Putin is ready, but I think Ukraine is less ready for an agreement.”
When asked about the reason why the negotiations conducted under the auspices of the United States have not yet led to the resolution of Europe's largest military conflict since World War II, Trump replied with one word: “Zelensky”. After a clarifying question, he added: “I think it's difficult for him to agree to this.”
