It has been revealed that Cemal Karaata, a FETÖ member identified as one of the organizers of the assassination of Russian Ambassador Andrey Karlov in Ankara and who fled to Canada, has changed his name.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that Karaata, one of the key figures in FETÖ's clandestine structures, lives in Canada, hiding under the name “Salih Ada”.
It is reported that Karaata, who is wanted with a Red Notice, is attempting to evade registration by security agencies through his name change. It is claimed that he works as a psychotherapist at an organization called “Qualia Counselling Services” and operates in the fields of anxiety, depression, and aggression management.
Karaata, whose “code names” are Sadıq and Yavuz, worked as an associate professor of English at Fatih University in Turkey and conducted espionage activities under an academic identity. According to information, one of the main reasons for changing his name is his fear of a possible abduction threat from Russia. It is also noted that Karaata periodically holds meetings with security agencies in Canada. Security sources state that FETÖ continues to protect the members of its espionage network in Europe and America in terms of financial and security aspects. According to claims, Karaata and his family's luxurious lifestyle, education, and other expenses are also financed by the organization.
