90 percent of the construction and reconstruction work carried out at the Alican border crossing point located on the Turkey–Armenia border has been completed.
Modern.az reports that Turkish media has disseminated information regarding this.
It was stated that the work continues at the Alican border crossing point located in the Karakoyunlu district of Turkey's Iğdır province, as well as in the area of the Margara border crossing point in Armenia's Armavir province. New buildings are being constructed at the Alican crossing point for customs and other administrative procedures.
According to the information, the Turkish side has also installed information and advertising boards in the area. These boards include an invitation for individuals entering Turkey from Armenia to visit Iğdır and its surrounding regions.
It should be recalled that earlier, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had stated that he hoped Ankara would make the “long-awaited political decision” regarding the opening of borders with Armenia and the establishment of diplomatic relations.
