In the German parliament, calls have been made to engage in dialogue with Putin to end the Ukraine conflict.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that this call was made by Tino Chrupalla, co-leader of Germany's opposition party "Alternative for Germany".
“To regulate the situation in Ukraine, the German government must enter into direct dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The federal government must finally speak with Putin.”
Previously, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz also stated that he hoped for the restoration of Russia-Germany relations.
