During a protest held in front of the Iranian Embassy in Armenia, the police did not allow participants to march towards the Blue Mosque.
Modern.az reports that the Armenian press disseminated information about this.
The protest participants stated that the rally and march were agreed upon with a mayoral decision dated January 15. According to them, a part of the march was canceled yesterday following the “threats” from the Iranian ambassador.
In protest, the participants began a sit-in demonstration. The police demanded the cessation of the protest, warning that force and special means could be used.
The situation at the scene remains tense.
