According to human rights defenders on Saturday, more than 3,000 people have died during nationwide protests in Iran.
Modern.az reports, citing foreign media, that the US-based organization HRANA stated that the confirmed death toll has reached 3,090 people. According to the information, 2,885 of them are protesters.
Additionally, the Iranian government states that the main part of the violence was caused by armed individuals presented as protesters. They are called “terrorists” and it is claimed that Israel and the US are responsible for the organization of the protests and the numerous deaths that occurred among demonstrators, as well as security forces.
