“Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP) project, the border and customs control technologies to be acquired are planned to be implemented at Yerevan's Zvartnots International Airport, along with other crossing points in Armenia.
Modern.az reports that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at an informal meeting held at the initiative of the Union of High Technologies.
According to Pashinyan, within the framework of the TRIPP project (Zangezur corridor), modern technological solutions in the field of border and customs control will be implemented, and the use of these systems is also envisioned at other border crossing points in Armenia in the future.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the aforementioned technological innovations are of particular importance for the modernization of the country's transport and security infrastructure.
Nikol Pashinyan also noted the importance of implementing a new biometric passport system. According to him, the French consortium Idemia is currently working on this system, and it will be harmonized with the technologies to be acquired within the project framework. The Armenian government believes that biometric solutions will play a significant role in managing passenger flow, increasing the level of security, and accelerating procedures.
