French President Emmanuel Macron criticized the new tariffs imposed by US President Donald Trump on several European countries over Greenland.
Modern.az reports that Macron noted in his post on the social network "X" that Paris is committed to the principle of sovereignty and independence of states within Europe and beyond its borders.
"It is precisely from this position that we support and will continue to support Ukraine. For this very reason, we decided to join the exercises organized by Denmark in Greenland. We support this decision. Because the issue of the security of the Arctic and our European borders is on the agenda here. No threat can deter us from the position we hold regarding either Ukraine or Greenland. As for the imposition of tariffs, this is unacceptable. European countries will respond to this in a coordinated manner. We will ensure the protection of European sovereignty", – Macron emphasized.
