UFC fighter Khamzat Chimaev shared a black-and-white photo with Adam Kadyrov, the son of Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov, on social media.
Modern.az reports that the athlete published the image in the “story” section on Instagram.
In the photo, Khamzat Chimaev, who is next to Adam Kadyrov, accompanied the picture with the Chechen word “Kyonakh”. This expression translates as “dignified person”. In the lower part of the picture, there was a sentence in Chechen meaning “As long as we have faith, nothing will happen to us”.
The post was made after rumors spread regarding an alleged road accident in Grozny. On the evening of January 16, information circulated online that Khamzat Chimaev had allegedly died in an accident. At the same time, claims emerged that Adam Kadyrov was also injured in the same accident.
Following these reports, Ramzan Kadyrov shared a video from a business meeting in which his son Adam also participated. In the video, Adam Kadyrov was awarded the medal “For services in increasing the safety of nuclear power plants”. However, the Chechen leader did not disclose the exact date of that meeting and award ceremony.
On the morning of January 17, the publication “Lenta.ru”, citing Flightradar24 data, reported that an An-148-100EM aircraft belonging to the Ministry of Emergency Situations landed in Grozny and later flew to Moscow's Vnukovo airport. However, neither the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations nor the Chechen authorities officially confirmed that the flight was related to any specific individuals.
