The meeting held in Damascus between Syrian President Ahmad Shara and Ferhat Abdi Şahin, code-named “Mazloum Abdi”, the leader of the YPG/SDF terrorist organization, concluded without results.

Modern.az reports that, according to information from “Anadolu” Agency, during the meeting between Shara and Mazloum Abdi, no agreement was reached between the parties regarding the implementation of the March 10 agreement (ceasefire and full integration agreement).

A source in the government stated that the SDF side did not show the necessary flexibility during the meeting.
“New meetings will be held in the upcoming period".

According to information published on the Telegram account of the Qatari-based "Al Jazeera" television channel, the status of the Haseke province, located in the country's northeast, on the Iraqi border, was mainly discussed during the meeting. During the five-hour meeting in the capital Damascus, Mazloum Abdi insisted on Haseke remaining under YPG/SDF control. President Shara, however, put forward the condition that the Internal Security Forces enter the province and take over state institutions.

The information stated that Ahmad Shara refused to give Mazloum Abdi an additional 5 days for consultations and demanded a final answer as soon as possible.
