The head of the Armenian Ski Federation announced his resignation.
Modern.az referring to foreign media, reports that Gagik Sargsyan's resignation is related to an incident involving an Armenian skier in Italy two weeks ago.
It should be noted that a few days ago, Armenian skier Mikael Mikaelyan caused a scandal during the "Tour de Ski" competitions held in Italy. Specifically, during the competition, he covered the inscription “Azerbaijan” on his uniform with adhesive tape. For the disrespect shown towards the name of Azerbaijan, which is the title sponsor of the competition, the athlete was fined by the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS).
It was reported that the aforementioned inscription was related to title sponsorship.
