US President Donald Trump shared the private message sent to him by French President Emmanuel Macron on a social network.
Modern.az reports that Trump published Macron's “private message” on the “Truth Social” platform.
In the message he sent to Trump, Macron proposed holding a G7 summit in Paris. The French leader noted the invitation of Ukraine and Denmark to the meeting, as well as Russia's participation “on the sidelines” of the gathering, as possible options. The aim was to discuss the disagreements that had arisen between Europe and the US regarding Greenland.
One of the striking points in Macron's message was his explicit objection to Trump's stance on Greenland. The French president wrote that while positions on Syria and Iran issues might align, he did not understand what the US president intended to do regarding Greenland.
It should be recalled that Trump caused serious concern in Europe with his statements regarding the US acquisition of Greenland, a sovereign territory of Denmark.
