US President Donald Trump spoke about his unparalleled role in strengthening the North Atlantic Alliance.

"No person or president has done more for NATO than President Trump. If I hadn't come, NATO would not exist today. And it would be in the dustbin of history", he noted.
The US President also questioned the willingness of NATO members to help the US if needed. Speaking at a press conference at the White House, Trump stated that he "had done more for NATO than anyone else." "But NATO must treat us fairly. My real concern with NATO is that we spend a lot of money on NATO, and I know we will help them, but I really doubt they will help us," he said.
